Updating Damages

Use the Damages form (on page 1) to update damages for the primary equipment in the selected unit or the selected equipment. In the Damages form, you can specify a date in the Repaired On field to mark a damage item as repaired.

To update or repair a damage item:

  1. In the All Damage Items area, select the damage item you want to update.

N4 displays the details of the selected damage item in the Damage Item area.

  1. Update the information displayed in the Damage Item area.

To mark a damage item as repaired, enter a date in the Repaired On field.

  1. Click Save.

If you click Cancel, N4 closes the form without saving the changes.

For XPS operations,

N4 records the following service events when you update damages for a unit:

N4 also records this event if you update an existing damage as repaired along with the other damage information such as width, depth, etc.

For example,

First, record Damage 1 N4 records the UNIT_DAMAGED event.

Then, update Damage 1 N4 records the UNIT_DAMAGES_UPDATED event.

Then, record Damage 2 N4 records a UNIT_DAMAGED event.

Then, repair Damage 1 (by recording Repaired on Date/Time) N4 records the UNIT_REPAIRED event.

Also, repair Damage 2 (by recording Repaired on Date/Time) N4 records the UNIT_REPAIRED event.

Now, record Damage 3 N4 records the UNIT_DAMAGED event.

Delete Damage 3 N4 records a UNIT_DAMAGE_DELETED event.

Again, update Damage 1 (which is a repaired damage) N4 records a UNIT_DAMAGES_UPDATED event.

Record Damages 4 and 5 N4 records a UNIT_DAMAGED event for each damage record.

You can use the History, Events tab (on page 1) in the Unit Inspector (on page 1) to view the event history of a unit. The Notes field in the Event History tab explains the damage changes made to the unit and the Changes field displays the values that changed per the event in the following fields:
